About Me

Hi all! My name is Princess Jefferson and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Student Bar Association (“SBA”) Vice President.

I was born and raised in the Third Ward/ Sunnyside neighborhoods of Houston, Texas, where the days are long, the summers are hot, and where my passion for advocating on behalf of others was formed.  In 2020, I obtained my B.A. in political Science from Bryn Mawr College and after observing and experiencing my own fair share of systemic inequality, I decided to apply for law school! I am currently a 2L at Howard University School of Law (“HUSL”), where I have been actively involved in the law school’s community and have continued building upon my passion for serving others. 

 

As SBA Vice President I believe that I can use my past experiences and my platform to advocate on behalf of others and influence systems of change. Furthermore, I am excited to work with others who share a collective sense of responsibility for the growth of our institution, and the community that exists within! Ultimately, my goal is to leave HUSL better than when I found it, and if elected as SBA Vice President, I will work tirelessly with others to do just that!
